Did you know?

Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in the United States. It may be a factor in as many as 20,000 deaths annually.

Radon is a colorless, odorless radioactive gas that is naturally released from decaying materials in the soil It normally dissipates harmlessly into the air. But when it becomes trapped in our buildings, it can build up to significant levels.

The two states with the highest levels of radon are North Dakota and Iowa. Click the links below for more information about radon in your area.

Radon Management
Homeowners can test radon levels. Many retail stores carry a variety of radon detectors (similar to a common (keep existing text).

What should I do if my home has a high level of radon?

The best method to reduce radon levels is a sub-slab depressurization system. Installing a sub-slab system during initial construction of a home will cost anywhere from $200 to $500. To install one in an existing home is a bit more expensive at $1,200 to $2,500.
